Children are “hands-on” learners and the best education that can happen in everyday living by exploring different avenues, is through hands on activities. They learn by exploring and manipulating objects in their environment using their five senses. To provide an exposure and a great sensory experience to our young learners through a fun learning opportunity of eating and serving food themselves, we at Salwan Montessori School organized an activity on Monday, 8 July, where our tiny-tots enjoyed the experience of helping themselves by taking food served in buffet. This activity helped them in boosting their confidence and the joy of being independent was very much evident on their happy faces.

They expressed admiration for the dedication of these community helpers, learning about safety, responsibility, and kindness. Through these interactions, children gained a deeper appreciation of these helpers' roles that keep us safe, healthy, and well-functioning.
During the much awaited summer break our tiny tots were given a list of dance numbers and were asked to learn and present these dance steps on anyone song of their choice as we believe that dance fosters creativity, confidence, and self-expression. It gives children ability to socialize with, learn more about, and relate to their classmates also helps to nurture social-emotional development during early years such as taking initiatives, making decisions, being responsible, being confident and so on.
5 Minutes Morning Meditation

Through hands-on activities, they develop essential skills like problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking. It encourages curiosity, social interaction, and cognitive growth, laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning and holistic development.
Problem Solving Activities:
Problems are a true test for everyone, and people require certain abilities to address and get through them. When it comes to young minds, we find novel approaches and solutions to such issues. It is a skill that is essential to everyone's existence. Determining whether a situation is a problem or not is the first step towards solving it. Through hands-on activities, children develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills. They foster creativity, enhance motor skills, and encourage teamwork. Their inquisitive minds can find many answers in nature, which also aids in the development of their problem-solving abilities. It is effective for their cognitive and motor growth, which benefits them in both their education and future lives.
PROJECT BASED LEARNING
Implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) in our school has transformative potential for a child's educational journey. We embrace play-based and activity-oriented approaches, fostering holistic student development. By integrating technology and innovative teaching methods, we enhance engagement and comprehension. NEP promotes inclusivity, offering equal opportunities to children from diverse backgrounds. Through NEP, we establish a solid educational foundation, empowering our young learners for a successful future.
